Looks like you put a great big gausian blur over the fucker, which is shamsome, cause its got a really visceral quality, i feel like i am staring at it through a jar, maybe a little less bloom..please :)

i get it not being designed to be picked apart.

when i model somthing, i always prefre its un-smouthed version, cause the outline and the shape rough as they are allow for infinite interpretation and my brain is free to choose the favorit line. when you smooyh it you tske swwsy those options,

first of all this wasn't created with a 3d package, I used a small bit of zbrush for a part of it. its supposed to be blurry or rather 'hard to make out'(i didnt use gaussian blur by the way!), and that's the point, the fact that you want it to be clearer is exactly the reaction I want so thankyou!if you dont like this one your really not gonna like some of the next ones

yea my bad, wasn't in a very good head space, i only glanced over this the last time i saw it, and this is embarrassing cause I'm actually realising that i like it a lot more then i initially thought i did, i like the narrative, the fact that it isn't a "pretty picture" its a much more mature offering i realize this now, its actually weird i don't really revisit images, i feel that before my brain was trying to get something out of miner sections and not take it in as a whole. i fell into the trap of viewing this at a surface value as i do for most things on DA these days, sorry Cir

no, i realised this wasn't a sculpt, I was just illustrating a tangent between my own discipline dude.

no bother!i was defending it tooth and nail because im very attached to it, its the first piece ive done in a long long time that just happened, the picture literally formed itself, I had no plan to do it, it just sort of happened which is what ive been trying to get back to,thats not to say that it means nothing, it comes from a much deeper place(that sounds wanky but its true) it is ambiguous in a sense but in a good way( because I hate deliberate ambiguity, and I think we both know DA is rife with that). but I must say its good to get some decent discussion going on DA, its sorely lacking around here, don't be afraid to rip my work apart, or say what you think (and that goes for anybody else reading this comment too) I'm not precious about my work , that's not to say I won't try and defend it though!

Nice creation, has creepy feel to it. I'm finding it difficult to see how you have put the piece together

thanks, I want it to be difficult to see how its put together so that people focus on the image itself, the process is difficult to explain. I used oil painting, sculpture, photography, photomanipulation, zbrush and lots of digital painting to create it - but not necessarily in that order!

Pretty amazing. I certainly studied the piece more. It is great to make people think!
